Turkish stocks open Tuesday on high note

Benchmark BIST 100 index up 57.11 points at opening session

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 9,378.74 points, up 0.61% or 57.11 points from the previous close.

On Monday, the BIST 100 went slightly up by 0.05% to 9,321.64 points, with a daily transaction volume of 108 billion Turkish liras ($2.83 billion).

As of 09.55 a.m. local time (0655GMT), exchange rates stood at 38.2605 liras to the US dollar, 44.0350 to the euro, and 51.2600 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $3,479.50, while Brent crude oil was trading at $66.10 per barrel.
