ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) producer Baykar's indigenous unmanned combat aircraft Kizilelma flew to the country's premier technology event, Teknofest.
Baykar developed the aircraft using nothing but local resources, according to a Tuesday press release from the firm.
It flew from the Marmara province of Tekirdag to Istanbul's Ataturk Airport, which is set to host Teknofest 2023.
Another Baykar UAV, the Akinci TB2, accompanied the Kizilelma.
Baykar has so far produced two prototypes of Kizilelma, and it plans to start mass production in 2024.
The five-day Teknofest 2023 will start on Thursday.
