ANKARA (AA) – Turkish security units on Tuesday caught a total of six individuals, including suspected terror affiliates, near its borders with Syria and Greece, the country's National Defense Ministry said.
“Three of the arrested individuals were identified as members of Daesh/ISIS and PKK,” the ministry said in a statement.
In its more than 35-year terror campaign against Turkiye, the PKK – listed as a terrorist organization by Turkiye, the US, and EU – has been responsible for the deaths of over 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants. The YPG is PKK’s Syrian offshoot.
