ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye earned $1.99 billion from hazelnut sales abroad during this export season, according to a local exporters group.
Between September 2021 and August 2022, the country exported 340,147 tons of hazelnuts, the Black Sea Exporters Association said late on Monday.
As the world's top hazelnut exporter, Türkiye exports around 75% of its hazelnuts to European countries.
During the previous 2020/2021 export season, the country sold 292,440 tons of hazelnuts and earned $2.01 billion.
