Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed Monday at 9,733.17 points, falling 1.79% from the previous close.
Extending its losses to a second session, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index dropped 177.44 points with a daily transaction volume of 96 billion liras ($2.71 billion).
The price of an ounce of gold was $2,688.14, while Brent crude oil sold for around $80.95 per barrel as of 6.38 p.m. local time (1538GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 35.4848, the euro/lira exchange rate 36.2310, and the British pound traded at 43.1005 liras.
