ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Thursday at 14,180.48 points, up 2.85% day-on-day, hitting a record high point.
Starting the day at 13,795.00 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 392.66 points from Wednesday's close.
The lowest value of the index was 13,784.80, while the daily high was 14,196.85.
The market value of BIST 100 was around 14 trillion Turkish liras ($322.3 billion), with a trading volume of 274.6 billion liras ($6.3 billion).
Some 93 stocks on the index rose and five dropped, compared to the previous close.
Gold was $5,068.80 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $67.95 per barrel as of 6.45 pm local time (1545GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 43.6470, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 51.9955, and the British pound traded for 59.7575 liras.
