ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended the day at 9,213.58 points on Tuesday, down 1.41% from the previous close.
Starting the day at 9,419.94 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 131.57 points from Monday's close.
The index's lowest value during the day was 9,213.58, while its daily high was 9,390.97.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 8.4 trillion Turkish liras ($215.6 billion), with a daily trading volume of 68 billion Turkish liras ($1.75 billion).
During the day, 12 stocks on the index rose and 88 dropped, compared to the previous close.
The price of an ounce of gold was $3,269.95, while Brent crude oil sold for around $63.45 per barrel as of 7.20 pm local time (1620GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 39.0200, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 44.2500, while one British pound traded for 52.7250 Turkish liras.
