ISTANBUL (AA) - The Turkish benchmark stock index closed Wednesday at 10,189.02 points, up 1.08% from the previous close.
The BIST 100 index, after starting the day at 10,103.74, rose 108.67 points from the close on Tuesday.
The lowest point for the index was 10,103.74, while the daily high was 10,307.02.
During the day, 63 indexes gained in value while 37 closed with losses.
The daily transaction volume reached 146.7 billion Turkish liras ($3.69 billion), while the overall value of the index was 9.35 trillion liras ($235 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate was 39.7845 as of 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 47.0280, and the British pound traded at 54.3260.
The price of an ounce of gold was $3,341.45, while the barrel price of Brent oil was $67.55.
