ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed midweek at a new all-time high of 13,891.21 points, up 0.11% from the previous close.
After starting Wednesday at 13,964.03 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 15.89 points from Tuesday's close.
The index's lowest value during Wednesday was 13,834.97, while its daily high was 13,998.18.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 13.83 trillion Turkish liras ($318.6 billion), with a daily trading volume of 201.3 billion Turkish liras ($4.62 billion).
During the day, 44 stocks on the index rose and 55 fell compared to the previous close.
The price of an ounce of gold was $4,979.95, while Brent crude oil sold for around $67.5 per barrel as of 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 43.5125 and the euro/lira exchange rate was 51.4465, while the British pound traded at 59.5890 liras.
