Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends Thursday in red

Benchmark index drops 93.7 points at close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Thursday at 10,370.78 points, down 0.9%.

Starting the day at 10,437.80 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 93.7 points from Wednesday's close.

The lowest value of the index was 10,335.21, while the daily high 10,562.29.

The market value of the BIST 100 was around 9.6 trillion Turkish liras ($230.5 billion), with a trading volume of 131 billion liras ($3.13 billion).

Some 29 stocks on the index rose and 68 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $4,270.40 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $61.4 per barrel as of 6.40 pm local time (1540GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 41.8540, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 48.9520, and the British pound traded for 56.3050 liras.
