ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Thursday at 11,377.55 points, rising 0.09%.
Starting the day at 10,573.34 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 10.62 points from Wednesday's close.
The lowest value of the index was 11,305.86, while the daily high 11,470.15.
The market value of BIST 100 was around 10.54 trillion Turkish liras ($254.8 billion), with a trading volume of 121 billion Turkish liras ($2.93 billion).
On Thursday, Turkish defense corporation Aselsan became the first company included in Borsa Istanbul to exceed 1 trillion lira ($24.1 billion) in market value.
Some 35 stocks on the index rose and 65 dropped, compared to the previous close.
Gold was $3,741.85 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $68.35 per barrel as of 7.10 pm local time (1610GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 41.4775, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 48.5550, while the British pound traded for 55.3995 Turkish liras.
