Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends Tuesday with another record high

Benchmark index earns around 57.9 points at Tuesday's closing session

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Tuesday at a new all-time high of 12,805.81 points, increasing 0.45%.

After starting the day at 12,760.83 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 57.93 points from Monday's close.

The lowest value of the index was 12,706.34, while the daily high was 12,914.06.

The market value of the BIST 100 was around 12.64 trillion Turkish liras ($292.8 billion), with a trading volume of 190.6 billion liras ($4.4 billion).

Some 31 stocks on the index rose and 65 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $4,727.60 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $64.50 per barrel as of 6.30 pm local time (1530GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 43.2830, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 50.7785, and the British pound traded for 58.3290 liras.
