Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends week in red

Benchmark index decreased 99.44 points at close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Friday at 10,729.49 points, down by 0.92%.

Starting the day at 10,879.47 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 99.44 points from Wednesday's close.

The lowest value was 10,727.08, while the daily high was 10,961.72.

The market value of BIST 100 was around 9.99 trillion Turkish liras ($243.2 billion), with a trading volume of 139 billion Turkish liras ($3.37 billion).

Some 22 stocks on the index rose and 77 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $3,589.40 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $65 per barrel as of 6.30 pm local time (1530GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 41.2510, and the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 48.4880, while the British pound traded for 55.8525 Turkish liras.
