ISTANBUL (AA) - With Israel's latest attacks on Iran weighing down on world markets, Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Friday at 9,166.80 points, down 3.71%, or 353.42 points, from the previous close.
On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 fell 1.71% to close at 9,520.22 points, with a daily transaction volume of 93.4 billion Turkish liras ($2.37 billion).
As of 09.50 a.m. local time (0650GMT), exchange rates stood at 39.4275 liras to the US dollar, 45.5295 to the euro, and 53.3905 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $3,412.95, while Brent crude oil was trading at $72.65 per barrel.
