ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Friday at 10,941.79 points, increasing 3.14%.
After starting the day at 10,699.82 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 333.53 points from Thursday's close.
The lowest index value was 10,662.28, while the daily high was 11,158.05.
The market hit a record level in the trading volume with 260 billion Turkish liras ($6.2 billion) on Thursday, while the market value of the BIST 100 was around 10.16 trillion Turkish liras ($242.6 billion).
A total of 92 stocks on the index rose and eight dropped, compared to the previous close.
Gold was $4,128 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $65 per barrel as of 7 pm local time (1600GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 41.9430, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 48.7930, and the British pound traded for 55.8080 liras.
