ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Thursday at 10,956.05 points, up 0.5%.
Starting the day at 10,940.60 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 55.04 points from Wednesday's close.
The lowest value was 10,935.15, while the daily high was 11,044.41. The benchmark stock index topped the 11,000-point level for the first time in a year.
The market value of the BIST 100 was around 10.2 trillion Turkish liras ($251 billion), with a trading volume of 120 billion Turkish liras ($2.96 billion).
Some 77 stocks on the index rose and 21 dropped, compared to the previous close.
Gold was $3,390.70 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $66.4 per barrel as of 6.55 p.m. local time (1555GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 40.6180, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 47.4100, while the British pound traded for 54.6930 Turkish liras.
