ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Monday at a record-high of 3,649.21 points, up 3.63% from last week's close.
Starting the week at 3,585.63 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 127.82 points from the previous close.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 3 trillion Turkish liras ($161 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 117.5 billion Turkish liras ($6.4 billion).
During the day, 85 stocks on the index rose, 14 fell, and one remained unchanged compared to the previous close.
The price of an ounce of gold was $1.725.60, while Brent crude oil sold at around $94.70 per barrel as of 18.26 p.m. local time (1526GMT).
