Türkiye’s Borsa Istanbul down at Friday’s close

ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye’s benchmark stock index was down 1.11% to end Friday at 2,543.10 points.

Starting the day at 2,547.43 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index lost 28.46 points from the previous close of 2,571.57 points.

The index’s lowest value during the day was 2,527.59 points, while its daily high was 2,597.94 points.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 2 trillion Turkish liras ($120.96 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 41.6 billion Turkish liras ($2.44 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,840.80, while Brent crude oil sold at around $120.81 per barrel as of 6.28 p.m. local time (1528GMT).
