Türkiye’s high technology industrial production soared 88.2% year-on-year in June to its highest ever, according to the statistical bureau TurkStat.
The calendar-adjusted industrial production index showed an 8.3% rise in June versus the previous month.
Türkiye’s medium-tech production climbed 2.6% to its three-year high and medium-low tech manufacturing 9.1%, data showed.
Türkiye’s manufacturing industry significantly contributed to the index by 8.4 points, while rising 9.5%. At the same time, high-tech products’ influence on the manufacturing industry was 4.2 points.
Medium-low technology products contributed 2.9 points, other transportation equipment 2.2 points, food product manufacturing 1.8 and low-technology products 1.7 points to the manufacturing industry index in June.
Meanwhile, the calendar-adjusted index’s subcategories that reached their highest in June were the installation and repair of machinery, manufacturing of computers, electronic, and optical products, beverage making, metal products excluding machinery, wood products, pharmaceuticals, rubber and furniture.
