TEHRAN (AA) - Iran and the UAE on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aiming at enhancing border security, according to Iranian media.
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and a UAE military delegation, which is currently on an official visit to Tehran, signed the deal.
The agreement aimed at improving coordination between both countries when urgent decisions would be made regarding security of the border.
On Tuesday, the Emirati delegation arrived in Tehran on an official visit to attend the 6th meeting of coast guards of the two countries.
The UAE's delegation's visit came amid recent tensions between Tehran and Abu Dhabi over oil tanker incidents in the Gulf region.
