United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Rome on Sunday for an official state visit to meet with Italy’s top officials, according to UAE state news agency WAM.
Sheikh Mohamed, accompanied by a high-level delegation, was welcomed with an escort by Italian military aircraft upon entering Italian airspace, WAM reported.
The visit, set to begin formally on Monday, will include meetings with Italian President Sergio Mattarella and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, with a focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Key areas of discussion will cover economy, investment, renewable energy, advanced technology, artificial intelligence, and cultural exchange, according to Emirati media.
