ISTANBUL (AA) - The British economy grew 1.1% in the first quarter of 2025, on a yearly basis, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) announced on Monday, in line with market expectations.
Services output is estimated to have risen 1.4% in the first quarter versus the same quarter in 2024, the office said.
The largest positive contributor to growth was administrative and support service activities, which climbed 3.7%.
Production output was estimated to have shown no growth compared with the same quarter a year ago.
Quarter-on-quarter, GDP in the UK expanded 0.7%.
