LONDON (AA) - British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Monday held a phone call with his Norwegian counterpart Jonas Gahr Store, discussing efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war ahead of planned talks on Ukraine.
During the phone call, Starmer said a coalition of the willing meeting, set to take place Tuesday, would offer "further opportunity" for integration with the US on planning for the cessation of hostilities.
The leaders agreed that it was vital all parties sustained the momentum towards a just and lasting peace, Starmer's office said in a statement.
The leaders also discussed maritime security in the High North, building on the already close cooperation between the UK and Norway.
Leaders from the Coalition of the Willing on military support to Ukraine will meet in the French capital on Tuesday with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy attending in person.
