KYIV (AA) - The Ukrainian General Staff said Wednesday that the army has Russian war plan documents.
Following a "successful operations" of the Ukrainian army, "the Russian soldiers panicked and left some secret documents behind," the General Staff said in a statement.
"The war plan with Ukraine was approved on January 18, 2022. The capture of all of Ukraine had to be completed within 15 days, from February 20 to March 6," it said, citing the documents.
Russia's war on Ukraine, which began Feb. 24, has met international outrage with the EU, US and UK, among others, implementing tough financial sanctions on Moscow.
Many countries are also supplying Ukraine with weapons, shut airspace to Russian airlines and banned Russian state-run media.
Russia and Ukraine are set for a second round of peace talks Thursday. The first was held Monday.
