ISTANBUL (AA) - A planned joint press conference in Kyiv between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US special envoy Keith Kellogg was canceled at the request of US officials, according to a statement from Zelensky’s office.

The development came amid heightened tensions between the US and Ukraine, after President Donald Trump called Zelensky a “dictator without elections.”

On Wednesday the US president called Zelenskyy a "dictator" and "modestly successful comedian" who "talked" the US into "the war that can't be won."
