LONDON (AA) - Reform UK leader Nigel Farage on Thursday defended Volodymyr Zelenskyy, stating that the Ukrainian president is “not a dictator,” following comments made by US President Donald Trump.
On Wednesday the US president called Zelenskyy a "dictator" and "modestly successful comedian" who "talked" the US into "the war that can't be won."
Speaking in Washington, DC, Farage said: “You should always take everything Donald Trump says seriously. You shouldn’t always take things that Donald Trump says absolutely literally.”
“So let’s be clear. Zelensky is not a dictator,” he continued. “But it is only right and proper that Ukrainians have a timeline for elections.”
