ISTANBUL (AA) - The unemployment rate in the locomotive country of the EU was 6.3% in March, up from 5.9% a year ago, according to official figures on Wednesday.
Around 2.6 million people were unemployed in Germany as of March 2025, the Federal Employment Agency's data showed.
The youth unemployment rate, for the 15-24 age group, was 5.6% in Germany.
The unemployment rate was 6.7% for men and 6% for women in the country as of March.
Meanwhile, 45.7 million people in Germany were employed as of March 2025, down 0.1% on a yearly basis.
