GAZA CITY, Palestine/ISTANBUL (AA) - At least 15 more Palestinians were killed and many others injured by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, according to medical sources.
Eight people were killed and several others wounded when Israeli warplanes staged airstrikes targeting two homes in the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeastern Gaza City.
One more Palestinian lost his life when the Israeli army struck another home in southern Gaza City.
The army also opened fire on civilians waiting for aid delivery near a distribution point in Wadi Gaza in the central Gaza Strip, killing one child and injuring 11 people.
Five bodies were transferred to Nasser Medical Complex, along with several other injured people, after an Israeli strike targeted a tent sheltering displaced civilians in Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, the state news agency Wafa reported.
Meanwhile, Gaza’s Health Ministry said on Tuesday that five people, including two children, died of starvation and severe malnutrition in the last 24 hours, bringing the overall famine-related death toll since October 2023 to 227, including 103 children.
Israel is facing mounting condemnation for its genocidal war on Gaza, where it has killed nearly 61,500 victims since October 2023.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
