UPDATES WITH DEATH TOLL, INTERIOR MINISTRY STATEMENT

DENIZLI, Türkiye (AA) – At least two people were killed when a firefighting helicopter crashed in Türkiye’s southwestern Denizli province on Wednesday.
The accident occurred in Denizli’s Cardak town, the Turkish Interior Ministry said in a statement.
There were seven people on board the helicopter – two Turkish nationals and five Russians, according to the ministry.
“Two of them lost their lives, while five more are injured,” the statement said.
Earlier, Husnu Yilmaz, the mayor of Cardak, said the helicopter crashed in the Acigol area, near the district center.
