Israeli media says collapse occurred when crane fell on underground parking lot

JERUSALEM (AA) – At least two people were killed after a building collapsed on Monday in Tel Aviv, Israel’s commercial capital, Israeli paramedics have said.

The Magen David Adom emergency service said another 25 people had been injured in the collapse and that rescue teams were still in the process of searching for others trapped under the rubble.

The Times of Israeli website quoted Israeli Army Colonel Golan Vach as saying that at least seven people were still unaccounted for.

According to Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth, the incident occurred when a crane collapsed on an underground parking lot.
