UPDATES WITH AKAR'S MEETING WITH KRG'S PRIME MINISTER, CHANGES HEADLINE, DECK

MUNICH, Germany (AA) – Turkiye's defense chief met with Iraq's top diplomat at the Munich Security Conference in Germany on Friday.

National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein discussed cooperation in the fight against terrorism.

Separately, Akar met with Masrour Barzani, the prime minister of northern Iraq's Kurdish Regional Government (KRG). They discussed the development of multifaceted relations between Turkiye and the KRG and anti-terror cooperation.

Earlier, Akar met with KRG leader Nechirvan Barzani, discussing bilateral relations between Turkiye and the Kurdish Regional Government, as well as issues related to regional peace and stability.

Akar emphasized the importance of cooperation in counter-terrorism and reiterated Turkiye's determination to end terrorism.
