ISTANBUL (AA) - At least two women were killed and as many others were injured after a gunman opened fire in a shopping mall in Thailand's capital Bangkok on Tuesday.

Gunshots at Siam Paragon Mall in Bangkok triggered panic and evacuation.

Earlier it was reported that 3 people were dead.

According to the Bangkok-based Khaosod English, the deceased were Chinese and Burmese women – one was shot in her neck, and the other twice in the back. The injured victims, who are also women, were Thai and Laotian.

The shooter, a 14-year-old avid video gamer, was arrested with his 9mm Glock pistol.

He told police that he heard a voice in his mind instructing him to shoot.

The Siam Paragon Mall, said on Facebook: “As soon as the incident occurred, the police and Siam Paragon’s security team immediately evacuated customers and employees from the building, prioritizing the safety of all customers, employees, and tenants.”
