ISTANBUL (AA) – Three people went missing after entering underground tunnels in northwestern France, media reported Friday.

Two men and a woman entered underground tunnels through an access point that was closed to the public during the night between Thursday and Friday in the Fecamp commune of the Seine-Maritime department, according to broadcaster BFMTV.

After a rapid rescue operation, all three were later found safe and unharmed.

Authorities reported that they were able to walk out of the tunnel they had previously been in for a few hours.
