ISTANBUL (AA) - Israeli airstrikes on homes and tents housing displaced families killed at least 39 Palestinians, including seven members of a single family, across the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, medical sources said.
Four people lost their lives when Israeli forces shelled Palestinians waiting for aid near the Nitzarim Corridor in central Gaza, medics said.
Twelve more people died when an Israeli airstrike targeted a family home in the Zeitoun neighborhood of southeastern Gaza City.
Four others were killed, and dozens were wounded by Israeli fire on people waiting for aid southeast of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.
An Israeli strike killed three people and injured several others on al-Thani Street in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of northern Gaza City.
In southern Gaza City, Israeli strikes killed seven family members, including five children and a woman, and injured others when their tent in Tel al-Hawa was hit.
Additional fatalities included a Palestinian waiting for aid near Nitzarim and another in the Morag area in southern Gaza, according to medics.
Israeli forces also killed seven Palestinians and wounded 18 others involved in securing aid operations in the Al-Saftawi neighborhood of northern Gaza City, medical sources told Anadolu.
Israel is facing mounting condemnation for its genocidal war on Gaza, where it has killed nearly 61,600 victims since October 2023.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
