GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) – An explosion ripped through a house in the central Gaza Strip on Wednesday, according to Palestinian authorities.
“Four people were injured in the blast that took place in al-Bureij refugee camp,” Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qidra said in a statement.
He said a child and a woman were among those injured in the explosion.
The Hamas-run Interior Ministry confirmed the blast, describing it as “accidental”.
Interior Ministry spokesman Iyad al-Buzm earlier said security forces had sealed off the scene of the explosion to examine its nature.
Accidental explosions refer to blasts that take place as a result of errors by Palestinian resistance fighters while manufacturing or storing weapons.
