ANKARA/ISTANBUL (AA) - At least 47 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured Saturday as Israeli forces carried out multiple strikes across the Gaza Strip, targeting civilians and aid seekers, according to medical sources.

Twenty-one Palestinians were killed and more than 200 wounded in the latest attacks after Israel targeted those waiting for aid in the northwest late Saturday.

Two brothers were killed in a strike that targeted them in the Shejaiya neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.

Medical staff at the al-Awda Hospital reported receiving five bodies and 33 others who were wounded following an Israeli attack on civilians north of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.

Six more Palestinians were killed and another was injured when Israel opened fire on crowds waiting near an aid distribution point on Salah al-Din Street in southern Wadi Gaza.

Reports also confirmed Israeli artillery shelling in the Zeitoun neighborhood in southeastern Gaza City, coinciding with a drone strike near the al-Shaheed Mosque east of the al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.

In southern Gaza, three people were killed in an Israeli strike on people waiting for aid in the Morag area in southeastern Khan Younis.

Three people, including a woman, were killed and others injured in a drone strike on a displaced people’s tent in the al-Mawasi area in western Khan Younis.

A woman and another person were killed when an airstrike targeted an apartment near the Sharia Court in western Khan Younis.

Two Palestinians, including a woman, were killed when the Israeli army opened fire on people seeking aid near the US distribution center on al-Tina Street in southern Khan Younis.

Earlier in the day, five Palestinians were shot dead by Israeli fire while waiting for aid in Rafah in southern Gaza.

Israel is facing mounting outrage for its deadly war on Gaza, where more than 61,300 victims have been killed since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave and brought it to the verge of famine.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
