ANKARA (AA) – A knife-wielding suspect injured six people, including a police officer, at the Gare du Nord train station in Paris on Wednesday morning, local media reported.
According to French broadcaster BFMTV, the suspect was a man, who, the interior minister said, was "quickly" neutralized.
"An individual injured several people this morning at the Gare du Nord. He was quickly neutralized," Gerald Darmanin said on Twitter.
He thanked the police for their "effective and courageous response."
The incident caused traffic disruptions and medical teams were also dispatched to the scene.
