BITLIS, Turkey (AA) - A total of six PKK terrorists were killed in Turkey's eastern Bitlis province on Tuesday, officials said.
According to a statement by the Bitlis Governorship, guards of Bitlis’ Gendarmerie Regional Command first killed five terrorists, and later another terrorist in Tatvan’s rural Anadere area during the same operation.
More than 1,200 people, including security personnel and civilians, have been killed since the PKK -- listed as a terrorist group by the U.S., EU, and Turkey -- resumed its armed campaign in July 2015.
