UPDATES WITH DEATH OF PALESTINIAN

RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) – An Israeli soldier was injured in a car-ramming attack in the West Bank city of Ramallah on Wednesday, according to the military.

A military statement said the attack took place at a checkpoint near the city of Modiin.

The army said the attacker was shot dead.

According to eyewitnesses, Israeli soldiers opened fire on a Palestinian van at the Beit Sira checkpoint, west of Ramallah, shooting the driver.

The Palestinian Civil Affairs Authority confirmed that a Palestinian was shot dead by Israeli forces. It identified him as Habas Abdel Hafeez Yousef Rayan, 54, from the town of Beit Duqqu, northwest of Ramallah.

On Sunday, four Israelis were injured in a car-ramming attack near the city of Jericho.
