ISTANBUL (AA) – A missile was intercepted after it was launched toward northern Israel, while a separate rocket struck a central area of the country, Hebrew media reported Sunday.
Channel 12 said three civilians were evacuated from the site of impact. Rescue teams rushed to the scene, according to the broadcaster.
Air raid sirens later sounded and explosions were heard in Haifa and parts of northern Israel, Israeli media reported, with alerts activated in several areas in the north.
