ADDS TRUMP COMMENTS IN GRAFS 3-4

WASHINGTON (AA) - US President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he struck a "great" trade deal with Indonesia following direct negotiations with President Prabowo Subianto.
"Great deal, for everybody, just made with Indonesia. I dealt directly with with (sic) their highly respected President," Trump said on social media.
Trump later told reporters that the agreement allows the US to have "full access to" Indonesia's market, and Washington would pay no tariffs on exports to the island nation. Indonesian exports to the US will meanwhile face a 19% tariff, he added.
"So, they're paying 19%, and we are not paying anything, and they're going to give us full access into Indonesia," he said. "Now, Indonesia has some great products, and they also have some very valuable Earth and various other materials. One of the things, as you know, they're known for, is very high-quality copper, which we will be using."
The announcement comes two weeks before the US president's Aug. 1 deadline for nations to strike new trade agreements with Washingotn or face heightened tariffs. The deadline was supposed to originally have been July 9, but the White House pushed it back to give negotiators more time.
Peter Navarro, Trump's trade advisor, said in April after Trump announced his tariff push that the administration would seek to conclude "90 deals in 90 days," but that goal has proved illusory. Two nations, the UK and Vietnam, have concluded interim trade deals with Trump.
Many of the details on the agreements, however, remain to be negotiated.
