UPDATES WITH PHONE CALL WITH QATARI EMIR; REVISES HEADLINE, DECK, LEDE

ISTANBUL (AA) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed bilateral relations and regional issues in separate phone calls with Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Saturday.
Erdogan and Sultan Haitham “addressed steps that would strengthen Turkiye-Oman relations and regional matters,” according to a statement by Turkiye's Communications Directorate.
Erdogan also “highlighted the importance Turkiye attached to enhancing cooperation with Oman in all areas,” it added.
In the conversation with Sheikh Tamim, the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to maintain close cooperation and dialogue on Turkiye-Qatar relations and regional matters, read a separate statement.
