Kerem Kamal, Murat Firat and Osman Yildirim bag gold in men's Greco-Roman category

UPDATES WITH ANOTHER GOLD MEDAL AND BRONZE IN GRECO-ROMAN CATEGORY, CHANGES DECK

ORAN, Algeria (AA) - Turkish wrestlers Kerem Kamal, Murat Firat and Osman Yildirim won gold medals Monday in the 2022 Mediterranean Games.

Kamal was awarded for his technical superiority against France's Leo Tudezca in the men's Greco-Roman 60-kilogram final.

Another Turkish wrestler, Murat Firat, claimed gold in the men's Greco-Roman 67 kg competition after a 7-6 win against his Algerian opponent Ishak Ghaiou.

Osman Yildirim became another gold medalist for Türkiye in the men's Greco-Roman category.

Yildirim beat his Egyptian opponent Abdellatif Mohamed 5-1 in the 130 kg final.

Separately, Turkish wrestler Ali Cengiz took home a bronze medal in the games for his 4-0 win against France's Johnny Bur in the men's Greco-Roman 87 kg category.

The 2022 Mediterranean Games will end on July 6.
