ISTANBUL (AA) - A ship ran aground in the Suez Canal near al-Qantara city and the waterway’s authority is trying to refloat it, a shipping company said on Monday.
“M/V GLORY grounded while joining Southbound convoy near to Alaqantarah,” Leth Agencies tweeted.
“Suez Canal Authority tugs are currently trying to refloat the vessel,” the company added.
Suez Canal Authority confirmed that the ship ran aground and that it is being refloated.
