NEW YORK (AA) - More than 4,000 flights have been delayed within, into or out of the US on Monday due to severe weather as the nation prepares to celebrate Independence Day, according to the flight tracking website FlightAware.
A total of 4,165 fights have been delayed and 131 flights cancelled, leaving thousands of travelers stranded at airports across the country.
Millions of Americans are under extreme weather warnings due to thunderstorms on the East Coast, while the south and west face heatwaves.
