WASHINGTON (AA) - US Attorney General Pam Bondi launched the Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias on Tuesday to end "unlawful" anti-Christian discrimination by the federal government.
"The Justice Department will protect religious liberty for Christians and for all Americans," Bondi said while hosting Trump administration officials at the Department of Justice.
Many top Cabinet members including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and Education Secretary Linda McMahon attended the meeting.
"Together, this task force will identify any unlawful anti-Christian policies, practices or conduct across the government, seek input from faith-based organizations and state government to end anti-Christian bias, and find and fix deficiencies in existing and regulatory practice that might contribute to the anti-Christian bias," Bondi said.
In February, US President Donald Trump signed an executive order on "eradicating anti-Christian bias."
Trump ordered the creation of a task force headed by Bondi.
"My Administration will not tolerate anti-Christian weaponization of government or unlawful conduct targeting Christians...My Administration will ensure that any unlawful and improper conduct, policies, or practices that target Christians are identified, terminated and rectified," said the executive order.
