ANKARA (AA) - US building permits dove to their 10-month low, reaching 1.674 million in July, according to the Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development on Tuesday.
The figure, posting a fall for the fourth month in a row, was down 1.3% from the revised June rate of 1.696 million.
On an annual basis, building permits increased 1.1% from the July 2021 rate of 1.655 million.
US housing starts sank by 9.6% from a month ago to 1.446 million in July, their lowest level since February 2021.
Annually, it posted an 8.1% year-on-year fall when the figure stood at 1.573 million.
