ISTANBUL (AA) – US presidential envoy Steve Witkoff is expected to visit Moscow this week, Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters on Tuesday.
Asked whether the American official’s visit is confirmed, Ushakov replied: “Yes.”
Earlier this month, Wifkoff met Russian President Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg.
US President Donald Trump, involved in the Ukraine peace process since taking office in Janauary, said on Monday there is a “very good chance” that Russia and Ukraine could reach a deal this week to end the over three-year-long war.
