ISTANBUL (AA) - US factory orders rose 4.3% month-on-month in March, slightly below expectations, the Commerce Department announced Friday.
While factory orders increased 0.5% in February, the expectation for March was 4.4%.
Durable goods orders rose 9.2% and orders for non-durable goods were up 0.3%.
Factory orders are important for shedding light on the near future performance of the industrial sector, which has an important place in the US economy.
