WASHINGTON (AA) - The US goods trade deficit fell 10.8% in June from the previous month, down to $86 billion.
In US Commerce Department data released Tuesday, goods exports dropped $1.1 billion to $178.2 billion in June, while goods imports fell $11.5 billion to $264.2 billion.
The goods trade deficit came in below market expectations of $98.3 billion after hitting $96.4 billion in May.
During the same period, the value of wholesale inventories rose 0.2% month-on-month to $907.7 billion.
The value of retail inventories also rose 0.3% to $808.7 billion.
